Beach Portraits in Perdido Key During a Dull Evening

We don’t always have perfect conditions at the beach and that was the case with this portrait session. We had heavy over cast skies that made for dull gray scenery. Instead of fighting the conditions I used colored gels on my portable lights to simulate the “blue hour” after sunset.
