Brothers at the Beach - Perdido Key Family Photography

The portraits of these two brothers were quickly taken at the beginning of this family session in Perdido Key, Florida. I call this the getting to know each other part of the session. I setup my lights for the multi-family group portraits and then ask someone to be my test subject. I usually get a volunteer quickly. I take a few of the “volunteer”, then add their siblings. This way it feels like they are helping me and I am getting more relaxed portraits from the children. After that it’s just a matter of putting pieces together for the individual family portraits. I repeat the process for the other families in the session and then we build up for the big family portrait at sunset.
