Candid Family Beach Portraits | Orange Beach Photographer

The posed portraits are great, and they are usually what I start my family sessions with to set a solid foundation for the day. Sometimes there are little ones in the group, so I try to take advantage of their short attention spans and get the family group photos done early on. After that, it’s free time for the kids to happily play around for several minutes, because, let’s be honest, most kids just want to have fun at the beach. What I have found is that giving kids time to run around and explore the beach really creates a joyful and relaxed atmosphere, and it also makes it much more conducive for those posed photos later in the session, hopefully with a stunning sunset as our backdrop.
