Creative Senior Portrait Session | Perdido Key

During the consultation with my client, she expressed her vision of capturing images that blend volleyball, a flowing dress in the water at sunset, and classic beach portraits. Understanding her desires, I suggested Perdido Key as the ideal location. Our session on the Gulf side was filled with creativity as we explored five distinct looks in just an hour. Transitioning towards the lagoon side, we stumbled upon beachgoers setting up a badminton net. Seizing the opportunity, I approached the group, and they kindly granted us a few precious moments to incorporate the net as a unique backdrop for some additional shots.

After shooting at the beach, we moved to the lagoon side for a change of scenery with its serene waters. This segment allowed for more experimentation and creativity, requiring some trial and error to achieve the desired shots. The shoot became a family collaboration as Kaylin’s mother assisted by holding lights in the water, while her father added an element of action by tossing volleyballs. The stunning sunset served as a backdrop, enhancing the vibrant colors that intensified as twilight approached.
