Family Portraits in Orange Beach

This was one of those sessions that we had to get done because the time with the clients grandchildren was limited. The session was scheduled at sunset the previous evening but a storm front prevented the session from happening. The hourly reports for the next day also showed there was a very good chance we would have severe weather during sunset. During the afternoon however there was a couple of hours clear of rain but it was going to be sunny. I gave the client the choice of canceling the session or doing the best we could. The client wanted to make it happen since the grandchildren would be leaving soon.

To start the session off I wanted to get safe shots under the pavilion. A clear day on the beach is rough on the eyes. After getting the safe shots done we moved to the beach and it was just brutal for the kids. We made the best of it though. We had good timing for the session because it started to rain as I was heading back home.
