Gulf Shores Family Beach Portraits - Lighthouse

I had to do things a little different for this family session at the Lighthouse Condominiums in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The daughter of my clients was in a wheel chair so I wanted to make this as easy for her as possible, but give the family multiple options. I arrived at the Lighthouse early to scout the area out. I liked the boardwalk to the beach so this gave us one option where she didn’t have to get out of the wheel chair. There was also platform at the end of the boardwalk that was perfect. Her parents could give her support while out of the wheel chair. We made our way to the beach and her father was able to support her on his knee while I took some family portraits near the water.

Most of the time I have my families move around a bit to give a variety of looks and backgrounds. For this session I did most of the moving. I used a mix of natural light and studio lights to give them more options. The weather added another touch to this perfect session.
