A flock of laughing gulls kept my cover for this surprise proposal at the Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The plan was for my client to propose on the boardwalk to the beach. I had to hide in plain sight. Fortunately, as they approached my location a flock of laughing gulls flew over and I sold the idea I was taking wildlife photos. After taking the photos of the birds, they stopped in front of me. My client turned to me, gave me a nod, and then proposed.

She was totally surprised and unaware I was taking their portraits. After the proposal, we took some engagement portraits on the beach and even had a flyby of more seagulls to add a little extra touch to their beach portrait experience.
