Senior Portrait Session During a Dauphin Island Sunset

Dauphin Island is proclaimed the Sunset Capital of Alabama and it did not disappoint for this senior photo session. This two-hour session took place at the West Beach area under the bright evening sky. Fortunately, a large cloud drifted over the beach, providing welcome relief from the intense sun, which was particularly helpful as Cambria was sensitive to the bright light reflecting off the sandy shore. Cambria showcased three different looks, and we continued capturing stunning shots as we approached sunset. As the evening progressed, a beautiful and dramatic sunset unfolded, following overnight and early morning rains. The resulting picturesque skies after the storms passed were truly spectacular, leaving me hoping for such scenes every time I photograph a session at the beach.
