Spring Family Session in Perdido Key

This family session took place in Perdido Key which is in-between Pensacola, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama. Perdido Key is a hidden gem on the Gulf Coast and is a great place for family beach photography. This particular session started with very bright and windy conditions. I didn't want the family to be looking into the sun but I still wanted to convey a bright day. We found an area in the shade and I then used my portable lights to make it look like they were standing in the sun. For the ladies there were also areas that was protected from the wind so I was able to get some portraits taken without too much wind blowing their hair around. Towards sunset the light got really soft for some great natural light photography.
