Sunny Day Beach Photography at Perdido Key

This family session in Perdido Key started with very bright conditions. We found some shaded areas to block the sun at the beginning of the session. When it is bright, it can sometimes cause subjects to have squinty eyes and harsh shadows across their face. In those conditions I like to keep subjects with their backs to the sun or slightly perpendicular. I used my portable studio lights to even out the balance of light. The last thing I want to do is create portraits that the clients look uncomfortable or strained. Eventually the sun faded into the horizon giving us some great golden hour looks.
