This family session took place at the Gulf State Park on a very bright and busy evening. I decided to start with their faces to the back of the sun and use my portable studio lights to even out the exposure. With their backs to the sun and the sand dunes this created the atmosphere of an isolated beach. After about 30 minutes the light got softer and we headed to the shore line. People were also leaving at this time so the beach was less crowded. Being patient, the family was also treated to a beautiful sunset and we took full advantage.
