Martinique on the Gulf Family Portraits - Fort Morgan

This multi-family session at Martinique on the Gulf in Fort Morgan had it all. There was a family member that had a broken leg, remembrance portrait for a family member that recently passed away, candid portraits, and we had time for dramatic looking portraits with my portable studio lights.

Fortunately for the family member that had a broken leg, the scenery at Martinique is beautiful so we were able to get family portraits at the end of the boardwalk. It was a bright evening so we started a little bit later than usual so the family members would not be squinting in the sun.

After getting all the combos the family wanted, I had a special request for a remembrance portrait honoring a family member that recently passed away. They had sweatshirts that read “You are my only Sunshine”. The family wanted photos with their backs to the camera. I thought having a light in front of them giving an effect of “shining” on them would add an extra touch.

With all that accomplished, we still had to time for some free for all photos and candid moments at the beach!
